Re: Bighorn Fire Access to Summerhaven, Soldier Camp and Willow Canyon
To ALL Property Owners:
The US Forest Service, Pima County Sheriff’s Office and Pima County Department of Emergency Management have allowed us the privilege to access our property during active fire fighting with restrictions on travel. Some, in their relief and excitement to be back, have not followed the rules and jeopardizes the privilege of the rest of us.
THE FOREST IS CLOSED. That means there is NO stopping to take photos on the highway, NO using the pullouts, NO hiking away from your house, NO travel on the road except to Summerhaven, NO bicycling on the trails or roads. We must STAY off the FOREST and stay at home, or in the Village of Summerhaven.
Fire is not the only concern. The damage in the forest is very dangerous with trees, rocks, landslides and a likely chance of FLASH FLOODING with any amount of rain.
The law enforcement officers are issuing citations for violations.
PLEASE do not be the homeowner that makes it impossible for us to be in this restricted area!
WE ARE ALLOWED UP TO OUR HOMES, AT SUMMERHAVEN BUSINESSES AND WALKING THROUGH THE SUMMERHAVEN AREA. NOT ON F.S. LAND.
POSTING PICTURES IS NOT SMART!
STAY AT YOUR CABIN OR HOME WHILE ON THE MOUN TAIN!
Thank you for your continued support.
Mt. Lemmon Homeowner’s Association,
Michael Stanley, president
